Gender & Women Empowerment

The Coalition for Sustainable development referred to as SDGs Kenya Forum’s anchor investment's goal is: Accelerating SDG 5 implementation, with the objective to enhance gender equality and women empowerment in Kenya. The Forum will achieve these aspirations by supporting both the National and County Governments, and Civil Society Organizations (CSO’s) capacity to deliver on gender equality priorities at county and national levels.

The strategies are threefold:

• Influence and support the development, adoption, approval and implementation of gender policies, Generation Equality Forum (GEF) commitments and Women Economic Empowerment (WEE) initiatives.
• Mainstream gender priorities into development agendas and policy priorities such as MTP IV, CIDPs, ADPs, Sectoral Plans, and contribute to Gender responsive budgets.
• Strengthen existing gender equality institutions-Gender Sector working groups and County gender knowledge hub.
