The Government of Kenya has made significant strides in policy development—such as the National Care Policy, the Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE) Strategy, and gender equality commitments under Vision 2030 and the Constitution. However, grassroots awareness and engagement as well as localized implementation remain weak.

To address this, the SDGs Kenya Forum will conduct a series of two-day training workshops that culminates in a community dialogue in Makueni, Homabay, Laikipia and Uasin Gishu. These trainings and community dialogues seek to strengthen the capacity of CSOs, grassroot organizations, media, youth, women, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and indigenous communities to understand, promote, and demand the implementation of care economy frameworks, WEE strategies, and WIL principles in their contexts.
